Eliot Spitzer II : Vendetta
Vendetta:
1. A feud between two families or clans that arises out of a slaying and is perpetuated by retaliatory acts of revenge; a blood feud.
2. A bitter, destructive feud.
Ex-governor Eliot Spitzer has been an unbelievable sucker to become the victim of a vendetta. He should have known that he had acquired highly placed and forever implacable enemies in the political and especially financial community. So any moral misstep and they would land on him like a ton of bricks. The latter financial chieftains have literally $billions to extract their pound of vengeance flesh. And one has to conclude that they have done exactly that.
It is vendetta vengeance, because none of the other Emperor’s Club “Johns” nor any from the many other major prostitution houses in New York have been prosecuted – not a peep about the other pimpers. One can see the Shakespearian irony.
